Case Study: Norman Barnett
About our client
Norman Barnett is an individual who understands and values his IT. He is a frequent traveller and relies heavily on being contactable by email and having access to calendar and contacts.
Norman had been frustrated for some time by having vital communications data(email, calendar, contacts) seemingly everywhere other than where he needed it.
Firstly we took the time to listen and fully understand what Norman wanted to achieve. He required access to his email anywhere in the world and any changes made in his calendar or contacts reflected online, on his Windows laptop and on his Apple IPhone. Andy Crawford, Ingenuity Systems Engineer picks up the story “We had to familiarise ourselves with the devices Norman wanted to use, his current Email configuration; it’s capabilities and limitations”, “then consider the many possible solutions and choose the best fit for him”. We proposed a rented, single mailbox based in the cloud and hosted in Microsoft Exchange, coupled with upgrading Outlook on his laptop from 2003 to 2007 so it could fully benefit from Exchange’s functionality. Norman said “It was refreshing to work with an engineer who listened, and then provided the right solution for me”, “I can now manage my email, calendar and contacts when I want and on my choice of device”. “Once we established what Norman wanted the work was completed in only 4 hours” added Andy.
“If you need a reliable and convenient service to maintain your hardware and software at a realistic cost then use Ingenuity. Either Andy or Matt are always available, helpful and very knowledgeable about matters when you most need them.”
